Launching of the Americas Regional Network, World Green
Building Council
Chicago, November 17th,
2010. The first meeting of this Network, opened by Jane
Henley – WorldGBC’s CEO, was held in USGBC’s
Greenbuild 2010 Conference. The Network will encourage the
Councils to share valuable resources and experience regarding
to sustainable building.
Delegates from twenty countries
participated, including the PanamaGBC representatives –
Carla López, David Rodriguez and Edward McGRath -,
who emphasized the relevance of the Common Metrics for Sustainability.
Costa
del Este II is awarded LEED Gold Pre-certification CS 2.0
Panama, November 9th, 2010.
Inversiones Bahia obtained from the GBCI this recognition,
becoming the first project in Panama to achieve this milestone
towards its final certification.
The commercial and office
building will implement strategies to ensure water and energy
efficiency, and also to address in an integral manner the
construction process, accordingly to the USGBC’s LEED
® rating system.
